The Bullfrogs dropped their second straight game and fell to 2-4 on the second half of the Northwoods League season with a 9-4 loss to the Lakeshore Chinooks at Kapco Park on Wednesday.

The Bullfrogs took an early lead in first inning. Collin Shaw led off with a single and then later came around to score on a base hit from Ransom LaLonde. LaLonde now has 11 two-out RBIs on the season.

Green Bay doubled its lead in the third inning. David Armendariz walked and later scored from third base on a Jason McMurray single to make the score 2-0 in the third.

The Bullfrogs extended the lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning. Taylor Peterson led off with a single and later came around to score on Mac Acker's two-out single. All of Green Bay's runs on the night came with two outs.

The Chinooks first took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Bre Kimbell drove home German Reyes on an RBI double, and Eric Aguilera later brought home both Kimbell and Brian Anderson on a two-run double to tie the game up. Aguilera later scored from third base on an error by Bradley Wallace to give Lakeshore a 4-3 lead.

The Chinooks extended their lead to 6-3 in the fifth frame. Brian Anderson doubled and was later driven home on a Ryan Ussery single. An RBI ground out by David Masters brought home Aguilera later in the inning.

The Bullfrogs cut into the deficit in the seventh. An error on Masters at shortstop allowed Billy Moon to reach and Mac Acker to score. This made it 6-4 in favor of Lakeshore.

Lakeshore ended any threat of a Bullfrog comeback in the bottom of the eighth. With the bases full, Ryan Ussery, David Masters, and Nate Ruzich all scored on a Matt Morse triple which gave the Chinooks a 9-4 lead.

Bradley Wallace (4-1) took the loss for the Bullfrogs. He gave up five earned runs in five innings of work. Robb Woodcock threw two scoreless innings in relief, and Mac Acker gave up three runs in the eighth inning.
