
Gouthro Joins Team Canada

Sydney-Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Goaltending Coach Scott Gouthro has been added to the coaching staff of Team Canada's entry at the Ivan Hlinka Under- 18 hockey tournament to be held in August in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Gouthro will join Team Canada for their evaluation camp on July 28 in Calgary. Following the camp the team will travel to Europe in preparation for the tournament that is scheduled from August 8th through 13th.
"Anytime you have an opportunity to work with Team Canada you certainly jump at the chance. I am looking forward to working with the young goaltenders who will part of this team to help in anyway I can to bring home the gold medal," Gouthro said.
Gouthro spent the past six seaons with the Screaming Eagles organization as their Goaltending Coach.
His playing career included a Royal Bank Cup championship with Halifax in 2002 along with time at Dalhousie University and the University of Waterloo.
