NJ/NY Gotham FC News Release
Harrison, NJ - Gotham FC (5-3-3) is gearing up for a showdown against Racing Louisville (2-3-6) at Lynn Family Stadium on Sunday, June 18 (4 p.m. ET, CBS), as the club is looking to secure a victory to close out its two-game road swing.
Gotham FC has proven to be a force on the road this season, amassing an impressive total of 14 points and clinching four wins. With just one more win, the club will equal its club record for road victories in a single season (5).
When Gotham FC and Racing Louisville last met in July 2022, Gotham FC came away with a 2-1 win to continue the trend of closely contested matches between these two sides. Historically, the clubs are level with a 1-1-3 record since Louisville's establishment in 2021.
Currently occupying fifth place in the NWSL regular season standings, Gotham FC has a golden opportunity to climb back up the ranks, trailing the top teams by only two points with forward Lynn Williams leading the way. Following her game-tying goal last week, Williams is tied for second-most in the NWSL at six goals this season.
