
Gorillas Face Off Tonight

The day has finally arrived when the Amarillo Gorillas hit the ice in their first exhibition game tonight.
The Gorillas travel to Oklahoma City to visit the Blazers, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Blazers Ice Center. It will be the Blazers second exhibition game of the season after beating the Tulsa Oilers 6-4 on Thursday night.
On Saturday night, the Gorillas will host the New Mexico Scorpions at The Jungle in the Amarillo Civic Center, beginning at 7 p.m. All seats are just $5 and tickets can be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office and Panhandle Ticket Outlets located inside United Supermarkets across the Amarillo region. Fans can also pick up tickets at the WTAMU Event Center in Canyon, charge by phone at 378-3096 and charge on line at www.panhandletickets.com.
The Gorillas will be holding a Meet-The-Players Putt-Putt Tournament this Sunday at 4 p.m. at Sportsworld located on the Canyon E-Way. Registration fee is $10 and for further information please call 242-7825.
The Amarillo Gorillas regular season kicks off next Friday night when they host the Lubbock Cotton Kings at 7 p.m. at The Jungle in the Amarillo Civic Center.
The first 2,500 adults receive a Budweiser Mug, the first 2,500 fans will get a cool Sonic America's Drive In magnet schedule and Amarillo Globe-News Cheer Cards. During the first Intermission of Friday's game, there will be the first Bud Light Banana Eating Contest.
