
Good Pitching Grounds the Lemurs

Grand Prairie, TX - Grand Prairie Airhogs (9-8) starting pitcher John Brownell (3-1) shut down the Lemurs offense, throwing seven complete, while giving up only six hits, and one run, striking out four, to earn his third win of the season and beat the Lemurs (8-9) 3-1.
Jimmy Mojica provided the offense for the Lemurs as he tripled in the sixth and came home to score on a Yunesky Sanchez ground out to second base.
Matt Way (1-2) pitched well for the Lemurs going six, giving seven hits and three runs, one earned, and striking out four, but still took the loss.
The bullpen of Jesus Martinez and Stephen Kahn both pitched well for the Lemurs in relief, giving up only one hit between them.
The Airhogs offense came in the second and third with a homerun by Trent Lockwood to put his team up 1-0. The Hogs would score two more times in the third but both runs would be unearned to make the 3-0 after three.
The Lemurs will be in Grand Prairie through Wednesday and will be home to take on the Amarillo Sox Thursday through Friday at Uni-Trade Stadium in Laredo, Texas. All games are set for 7:30pm. You can get tickets online at www.laredolemurs.com or by phone at 956-7LEMURS.
