CANTON, OH - The Gold (6-4) advanced to their third straight win after a back-and-forth contest against the Cleveland Charge (1-7). Overall, the game had 7 lead changes and 10 ties, but a huge fourth quarter performance from Grand Rapids resulted in the Gold outscoring Cleveland 29-14 on 55.6% (10-18) shooting.
Matt Ryan was a trailblazer on the court tonight, earning a game-high 21 points to go along with 4 rebounds. Nik Stauskas followed up with a near double-double, tallying 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Big man Tarik Black added another 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Petr Cornelie hustled up a diverse stat line with an impressive double-double, contributing 14 points, 16 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
Trevon Scott commanded Cleveland's offense with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals. The Charge's two-way players, R.J. Nembhard Jr. and Brandon Goodwin, had big performances for the home team. Nembhard Jr. racked up a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Goodwin recorded 15 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Tacko Fall contributed a double-double, earning 11 points, 11 boards, and 3 blocks.
