The Skyforce finishes a four-game, nine-day road trip tonight in Austin against the Spurs. Sioux Falls dropped a tough 129-101 decision to the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario on Thursday in the finale of three-straight games in California.
Javonte Smart etched his first career double-double on Tuesday, with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. He led the Force in scoring for the second time in four games.
Mario Chalmers continues to lead off the bench for Sioux Falls, posting 14 points on 4-8 FGA and five assists. He is averaging 11.8 points on 38.5 percent shooting, 3.5 rebounds and 3 assists so far. He's added 14-plus points in four-of-six games in a Skyforce jersey.
The bench unit continues to outwork the opponents, as they have outscored the opposition in five of the last seven games and seven-of-10 games this season.
Austin comes into the game with losses in two-of-three games, with the latter being a 113-106 defeat to Birmingham on Sunday. Both Joshua Primo and Jaylen Morris combined for 24 points apiece on 18-30 FGA combined.
Devontae Cacok has 14-straight double-doubles, dating back to Nov. 27, 2021, in the Showcase Cup, which is a franchise record for Austin.
