
Godding And Galas Invited To Training Camp

Montreal, Dec. 5, 2008 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that receivers Keith Godding and Erik Galas have both signed with the Alouettes.
Godding (6', 190 lbs.) attended training camp with Montreal in 2008, catching a long touchdown pass in the Alouettes' pre-season game at Winnipeg. He then returned to Bishop's University, making 38 receptions for 607 yards and three touchdowns in eight games and earning a spot on the Quebec Conference All-Star team. Godding signed a one-year contract plus an option.
Galas (6'2'', 220 lbs.) had an exceptional season with the McGill Redmen in 2008, finishing third in the CIS with 64 receptions and fifth in the league with 781 receiving yards. He was named a First-Team CIS All-Canadian as well as earning a Quebec Conference All-Star nod. Galas, who also plays on the Redmen basketball team, set a CIS record with 194 career receptions and McGill career records with 2,555 yards and 19 receiving touchdowns. He signed a two-year contract plus an option.
