Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud members of the United Hockey League, announce the signing of forward Tyler Rennette for the upcoming 2005-2006 season. Per team policy, the terms of the contract will remain undisclosed.

Rennette, 26, was the second round selection (40th selection overall) of the St. Louis Blues in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. The forward joins the K-Wings after spending part of the past five seasons in the ECHL with the Peoria Rivermen. Over the past three seasons, Rennette has averaged over 60 points a year.

In his six year professional career, Rennette has earned the reputation of being in a play-making goal scorer. The veteran forward has netted 130 goals in his career, including an impressive 42 goals during the 2002-03 season as a member of the Rivermen.

"Tyler has produced everywhere he has played," said Vice President/General Manager Paul L. Pickard. "Besides putting up solid numbers in the regular season, he (Rennette) has also been able to find his scoring touch in the playoffs."

The native of North Bay, Ontario has played 94 of his 361 professional games in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Before turning pro, Rennette played three seasons of Junior "A" hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the both the North Bay Centennials and the Erie Otters.

The signing of Tyler Rennette gives the K-Wings seven players signed for the upcoming 2005-06 season, which begins October 22nd, when the K-Wings travel to Port Huron to battle the Flags. Besides Rennette, the K-Wings have also signed forwards Nick Bootland and Mike Manley, defensemen Josh Elzinga, Adam Elzinga, and Greg Labenski, and goaltender Joel Martin earlier this off-season.

Season Tickets for the 2005-06 season are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Fans can save 15% by purchasing their season tickets for next season by paying in full by September 15th.
