Gleason Fournier Reassigned to Toledo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Monday reassigned defenseman Gleason Fournier to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Fournier, 21, has skated in 16 career games with the Griffins, notching four points (1-3-4) and 14 penalty minutes. He has appeared in three games with the club this season, recording four penalty minutes. The Rimouski, Quebec, native played 55 games for the Walleye in 2011-12 and tallied 18 points (2-16-18) and 32 penalty minutes.

Winners of six straight games, the Griffins will look to extend their Midwest Division lead this weekend with three games in three days against division rivals. Grand Rapids will host Chicago on Friday at 7 p.m. and Milwaukee on Sunday at 4 p.m., with a Saturday road contest in Peoria at 8:35 p.m. EST wedged in the middle.
