Gladiators Sign Winters, Place Blalock on Injured Reserve

The Las Vegas Gladiators, of the Arena Football League, announced today they have signed WR/DB Chuck Winters, who spent the last two seasons with the Detroit Fury, to their active roster.

Winters caught 52 passes for 588 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games for the Fury last season before suffering an ACL injury to his right knee. Up to that point he had led the club in kickoff returns and set team records for kick return yards and return touchdowns, including two return touchdowns in one game.

In other moves, the Gladiators placed Coco Blalock, who has not seen action in either of the first two games, on injured reserve with tendonitis in his left ankle.

The Gladiators open their home schedule Monday night, February 17, at 7:00 PM (PT) versus the Tampa Bay Storm at Thomas & Mack Center.
