Crush Makes Roster Moves, Expects Sellout Sunday

DENVER (February 14, 2003) – The Colorado Crush has waived Fullback/Linebacker Darnell Small. Small, who signed with the Crush as a free agent in December 2002, came to the team after playing three seasons with the Arkansas Twisters of af2. He was under contract with the Buffalo Destroyers of the AFL in 2001, but did not play. In two games with Colorado this season, Small recorded just one solo tackle, which came against the Georgia Force. He was inactive against Grand Rapids.

The Crush has also announced the signing of Defensive Specialist Anthony Derricks. Derricks comes to Colorado after spending the first two games of the 2003 season with the Chicago Rush. There, he recorded five solo tackles in games against the Orlando Predators and the Dallas Desperados. Derricks spent the 2000 season with New England Sea Wolves and the 2001 and 2002 seasons with the Toronto Phantoms, both of the AFL.

Sunday's Game at Pepsi Center Almost Sold Out

The Crush will tackle the Los Angeles Avengers on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Pepsi Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.

At the close of business yesterday, the Crush had approximately 500 tickets remaining, in addition to a limited number of standing room only tickets and single seats.
