Las Vegas Gladiators News Release

LAS VEGAS, NV, February 14, 2003 – Clint Holmes, who was voted "Best Singer in Las Vegas" in the 2002 Las Vegas Review Journal "Best Of Las Vegas" poll, will sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Las Vegas Gladiators' first home game on Monday, February 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Holmes' rendition of the National Anthem will be heard following the extravagant Las Vegas-style Gladiators' player introduction montage prior to kickoff at 7:00 PM.

Among his various recordings, Holmes had a "Top Ten" hit, Playground In My Mind (My Name Is Michael). His audiences are always surprised to learn Clint was the voice in the popular Lowenbrau commercial (Here's to good friends...).

Holmes' first break came when Joan Rivers invited him to be her sidekick and announcer on the now defunct "The Late Show." This was followed by a two-year stint on "Entertainment Tonight," for which he served as their musical feature and event correspondent. Holmes is currently starring in "Takin' It Uptown," a nightly show seen in the main showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

Often recognized as one of the nations' most affordable and fan-friendly sports leagues, the Arena Football League kicked off its 17th season and the first on NBC on Saturday, February 2, 2003. NBC will provide the AFL with unprecedented exposure by televising up to 70 games, including playoff contests and ArenaBowl XVII on June 22.
