Gladiators Add Murovich

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed forward Tyler Murovich for the 2011-12 season. Murovich was signed after he attended training camp with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

Murovich split time in the ECHL and AHL last season with Reading and Wheeling in the ECHL and Springfield and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He earned 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 34 ECHL games last season and had four points (two goals, two assists) in 27 AHL games.

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native earned six points (two goals, four assists) in five AHL games with the Syracuse Crunch at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season.

Murovich earned 153 points (70 goals, 83 assists) in 189 career games with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League from 2007-2010. He was a combined +51 in three seasons in the OHL.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
