Alaska Aces News Release

The 2011 Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces have received three players back from AHL Training Camp, Aces Head Coach, Rob Murray announced on Monday. Returning forward Ethan Cox, along with rookie forward Chris Bruton and rookie goaltender Andrew Hayes joined the Aces on Monday morning to resume training camp, after beginning the camp with the Aces AHL affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. The Aces will play their pre-season exhibition games with a pair of contests against the Colorado Eagles on Tuesday and Wednesday at Sullivan Arena, promoting cancer awareness. For more information on all Aces related news, please contact the Aces office at 907.258.ACES, or visit them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/alaskaaceshockey.

With the trio of returners, the Aces now have 24 players in their camp, with two remaining at the AHL level. Chris Langkow, who began the camp with Peoria, has moved to join the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, while Matt Ambroz remains in Syracuse with the Crunch, where he began camp. Tuesday and Wednesday mark the only two Aces pre-season games as part of the "Paint the Rink Pink" event at the Sullivan Arena. Join the Aces for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year and their return to the ice. The Aces will host the Eagles on pink ice, dressed in pink jerseys that will be auctioned off to fans after Wednesday's game. Proceeds from the game and jersey auction go to benefit the local fight against all forms of cancer, and the funds raised will remain local in Alaska. Tickets are still available for both games and can be purchased at the Aces office and the Sullivan Arena box office. Make your plans to be a part of all of the festivities.

The 2011 Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces will begin the 2011-2012 regular season on Friday, October 14 at Sullivan Arena when they host the Las Vegas Wranglers. Season ticket and sponsorship packages are currently available through the Aces office at 15th & Gambell.
