
Everblades Receive Three Players

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that forward Alex Hutchings and goaltender Pat Nagle have been reassigned to the Everblades from the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL). In addition, the Norfolk Admirals (AHL) have assigned forward Philip-Michael Devos to the Florida as well.
Hutchings, 20, posted 26 points (13g, 13a) in 51 games with the Everblades last season. The 5-10, 178-pound forward totaled 208 career points with Barrie of the Ontario Hockey league. The Burlington, Ontario native is a fourth-round selection of Tampa Bay in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Nagle, 24, joins the Everblades after a four-year career at Ferris State University where he earned 45 career wins in goal from 2007-2011. The 6-2, 162-pound netminder posted an 18-14-5 record, and a 2.02 goals against average last season for the Bulldogs. The Bloomfield, Michigan native maintained a .923 save percentage in each of the past two seasons.
Devos, 21, amassed 114 points (47g, 67a) last season split between the Victoriaville Tigres and the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 5-11, 184-pound forward registered 93 points (35g, 58a) in 68 games played with Victoriaville during the 2009-10 season. Devos is a native of Sorel-Tracey, Quebec.
The Florida Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, and the Norfolk Admirals and Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
The blades play host to the Chicago Express for a pair of preseason games on Friday and Saturday at Germain Arena. Friday's game begins at 7:30 p.m., while Saturday's affair is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
