POMONA, N.Y. -- Nick Giarraputo hit a two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the 16 th inning, as the New Jersey Jackals came back to win the resumption of the wild game that started Friday night, winning 10-9 at Yogi Berra Stadium.

Jackals leftfielder Bryan Sabatella dropped a line drive off the bat of David Thomas on the first pitch of Saturday off of Craig Clark (3-1) to start things off. Yasutsugu Nishimoto and Keanon Simon then successfully bunted Thomas to third and home to give Grand Prairie (22-12) the lead.

But Sabatella hit the first pitch from Nick DeBarr (6-1) off the right-centerfield wall to reach on a double, and after Francisco Caraballo grounded out and Sabatella stole third, the Can-Am League's leader in average, home runs and RBIs hit his 13th home run of the season to left on a 1-2 pitch to end the marathon affair.
