The Vancouver Giants are on a four-game winning streak as they prepare for their final weekend of Western Hockey League action prior to the WHL holiday break.

Last Friday, the Giants posted a 6-3 win against the Medicine Hat Tigers in the first game between the two clubs at the Pacific Coliseum since the Memorial Cup Final last May. Casey Pierro-Zabotel netted his first WHL hat-trick while goalie Tyson Sexsmith collected his 20th win of the season.

On Sunday, Jonathaon Blum had two goals and two assists to lead the Giants to a 7-1 win over the visiting Kamloops Blazers. The Giants established a club record by scoring five of their goals on the power play in a game which saw them out-shoot the opposition 47-24.

Now with a record of 22-7-1-3, the Giants have a nine point lead atop the B.C. Division standings. They will be back in action Friday December 14 to play the Chilliwack Bruins at Prospera Centre (7:00pm PST.) They will return to the Coliseum for the last home game before the Christmas break Saturday December 15 to entertain the Bruins (7:00pm PST). That game will feature the annual Giants Teddy Bear Toss.
