After playing a stretch of six games in nine nights, the Vancouver Giants prepare to play another three Western Hockey League games this week.

Last Friday, the Giants earned a point on the road after suffering a 2-1 shoot-out loss to the Kamloops Blazers at the Interior Savings Centre. Milan Lucic had the lone Vancouver goal while netminder Tyson Sexsmith made 24 saves in a losing cause. It was the 14th time this year the Giants were involved in a game that needed to be decided in either overtime or a shoot-out.

On Saturday, the Giants picked up a 4-1 win on home ice against the Prince Albert Raiders. Lucic, J.D. Watt, A.J. Thelen, and Mitch Czibere scored for the Giants on a night which saw Vancouver out-shoot the Raiders 39-21.

Now with a record of 31-10-3-6, the Giants will wrap up the month of January will a meeting against the visiting Portland Winterhawks this Wednesday (7:00pm). On Friday February 2, the Giants entertain the Kelowna Rockets at the Pacific Coliseum (7:30pm). The same two teams will face each other in the Okanagan on Saturday February 3 at Prospera Place (7:00pm).
