Vancouver BC - The Vancouver Giants scored early and often as they thrashed the Seattle Thunderbirds 10-2 on Friday night.
Andrej Kudrna scored the first three goals of his WHL career...one on the power play, one short handed and one even strength goal, to pace the Giants to victory. The Giants other goals were scored by Mike Berube, Garry Nunn, Casey Pierro-Zabotel, James Wright, Evander Kane, James Henry and Adam Basford. The T-Birds were only able to manage a paltry 13 shots on Tyson Sexsmith, as he recorded his third victory of the season.
Vancouver moves to 5-0-0-1 on the season, while Seattle drops to 0-5-0-0. You can join the Giants for their next game at the Rink on Renfrew as they will host the Portland Winter Hawks (1-3-0-0) this coming Saturday, October 4th. Game time will be at 7 p.m.. Fans can also listen to the game on Superhits 650 CISL and in the rink on 88.7 FM. Pregame show with Dave Sheldon and Bill Wilms will be at 6:30 p.m.
