Gerics Allows No Runs to Lead Titans past Sharks

David Gerics kept the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (10-8) off the board during his six innings of work and the Torrington Titans (10-10) beat the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, 7-2.

Gerics allowed four hits, no walks and struck out 10.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks were up until the fourth inning, but the Torrington Titans had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Kyle Decker.

Jacob DeCarli ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
