Gens Goaltending Coach Zac Bierk to Join the Arizona Coyotes
July 11, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release
After five seasons with the Gens, goaltending coach Zac Bierk will join the NHL's Arizona Coyotes as their goaltending development coach.
Bierk, who is a Coyotes alumnus, has already spent time with his new team at their development camp. Throughout the season he will work with the team's goaltending prospects.
In his time with the Gens, Bierk became a Memorial Cup Champion in 2015 and worked with the likes of Gens alumni Ken Appleby, Jeremy Brodeur and most recently Kyle Keyser.
In taking on this new full-time position, he will also leave the role he had with Hockey Canada as well as their sledge hockey teams.
We wish Zac all the best as he begins his new position with the Coyotes organization.
