Player Notes: Jan Jas leads the Generals with nine points on two goals and seven assists...Mike Zbriger leads the Generals with six goals, five while with Chicago and one with the Generals...Jason Selleke, Jan Eriksson and Zbriger lead the team with three power play goals...David Frawley has the most goals scored as a General with four on only eight shots...Selleke leads the team with 48 penalty minutes.

Team Notes: Flint has the third best power play in the league at 17.8%...The Generals have the third best road penalty kill at 87.2%...The Generals are out shooting their opponents in the third period of games 113-78...The Generals lead the UHL in shots on goal against per game at 27.78.

GENERALS WEEK IN REVIEW October 30-November 5

Friday, November 3 Flint @ Chicago PPD

What should have been the first game ever played at Sears Center was postponed due to poor ice conditions. The Generals game against Chicago has not yet been rescheduled.

Saturday, November 4 Flint 7 @ Kalamazoo 4

The Generals had their largest scoring output of the season in a 7-4 win in Kalamazoo. Tyson Turgeon gave Flint a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal at 15:34 of the first period. David Frawley extended the lead to 2-0 with the team's first shorthanded goal of the season at 19:53. Flint scored four goals in the first seven minutes of the second period to take a 6-0 lead over the Wings. The goals were scored by Turgeon at 2:36, Bobby Reynolds at 3:56, Frawley at 5:01 and Jordan Fox at 6:59. Kalamazoo scored two late second period goals and two third period goals to get to within two at 6-4. Mike Zbriger closed the scoring with a goal at 18:23 of the third period. Jason Muzzatti recorded his first win of the season by making 23 saves on 27 shots.

Sunday, November 5 Fort Wayne 4 @ Flint 3 SO

Fort Wayne scored the only goal of the first period to take a 1-0 lead against the Generals. Mario Larocque scored his first of the game at 11:28 on the power play. Larocque scored another power play goal at 3:25 of the second period to give the Komets a 2-0 lead. Jan Eriksson tied the game for the Generals with two power play goals for Flint. He scored the goals at 8:11 and 9:39 of the second period. The Generals took a 3-2 lead on a Gerard Miller goal at 19:34 of the third period. Larocque completed his hattrick to tie the game 3-3 at 19:52 with the Fort Wayne goalie pulled for an extra attacker. The Komets out scored the Generals 2-0 in the shootout for the 4-3 win. Jason Muzzatti made 20 saves on 23 shots in the shootout loss.

PREVIEW OF UPCOMING GENERALS GAMES November 6-November 12

Friday, November 10 Flint @ Muskegon 7:30p.m.

The Generals travel to Muskegon for the first time this season. Muskegon beat the Generals 7-3 in Flint on October 22.

Saturday, November 11 Flint @ Fort Worth 7:30p.m.

The Generals travel to Fort Wayne for the first time this season. The Komets beat the Generals in the first meeting of the season 4-3 in a shootout in Flint on November 5.

Sunday, November 12 Elmira @ Flint 4:00p.m.

The Generals host Elmira for the first time this season. The Generals went 0-1-1 in a two game series in Elmira on October 27 and 28.

Generals Player of the Week:

The Generals Player of the Week is Jan Eriksson. Eriksson had two goals and one assist in two games last week for three points. Both his goals were power play goals on Sunday. He also had a +3 rating.

Generals Goaltender of the Week:

The Generals Goaltender of the Week is Jason Muzzatti. Muzzatti earned his first win of the season on Saturday in a 7-4 win in Kalamazoo. He also had a shootout loss at home against Fort Wayne on Sunday to go 1-0-1 for the week. He made 43 saves on 50 shots in two games played.
