Flint Generals News Release
FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL, received more league honors Monday when Generals captain and seventeen-year veteran Pascal Rheaume was named IHL Player of the Week for the twenty second week of IHL play in the 2009-10 season.
The 36-year old center had a stellar week for the Generals, netting 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points in three games. Rheaume's most productive night of the season came Wednesday against Dayton when he found the back of the net four times and earning a plus-3, scoring half of the Generals goals in their 8-3 lashing of the Gems. His four goal night makes him the fourth IHL player this season to accomplish this goal.
He followed up that performance, with an assist in each of the Generals next two games, lengthening his point streak to four games. The Quebec City, Quebec native is fourth on the team in scoring with 42 points (14 goals and 28 assists) in 59 games played.
Rheaume and the Generals return to the ice Wednesday when they visit the Quad City Mallards in Moline, IL as they continue their fight to make the playoffs.
