ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Monday that Flint center Pascal Rheaume has been named the IHL Player of the Week, Fort Wayne right wing Sean O'Connor has been named the IHL Rookie of the Week and Fort Wayne goaltender Tim Haun has been named the IHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 14th, 2010.Rheaume completed the week notching in four goals and two assists for six points in three games played. He scored all four of his goals Wednesday in Flint's 8-3 win in Dayton, becoming the third player this season to score four goals in a single game. His third goal of the night ended up being the game-winner, scoring on the Generals man-advantage. Rheaume added an assist in each of the Generals next two games, extending his point streak to four games (four goals, three assists). The 36-year-old Quebec City, Quebec native is fourth on the Generals roster in scoring, notching in 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points in 59 games played so far this season. Other players nominated for the IHL Player of the Week include: Bloomington forward Craig Macdonald, Dayton forward Pierce Norton, Fort Wayne center Colin Chaulk, Muskegon right wing Robin Bouchard, Port Huron right wing Derek Patrosso and Quad City right wing Juris Stals. O'Connor finished the week scoring three goals and dishing out three assists with a plus/minus rating of plus-four in three games played. He had multi-point games in all three games and stretched his point streak to four games, tallying four goals and three assists in those four games. O'Connor scored his fifth power play goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over Port Huron, tying him for third on the Komets roster. The 23-year-old Brownstown, Michigan native is currently tied for fifth among IHL rookies in scoring with 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) in 50 games. His 24 assists also ranks him fourth among rookies, while he is second in shots on goal with 182. Other players nominated for the IHL Rookie of the Week include: Bloomington defenseman Matt Woodard, Dayton forward Jonathan Ornelas, Flint forward Matt Moffat, Muskegon defenseman Matt Krug, Port Huron forward Brandon Naurato and Quad City defenseman Jacques Perreault. Haun was solid between the pipes for the Komets once again, earning a 3-0-0-0 record. He completed the week with three goals against in the three games played, giving him a 1.00 goals against average. Haun recorded his third shutout Wednesday when he turned aside all 25 shots he faced from Bloomington, tying the league-high in shutouts this season. He made a total of 69 saves, posting a .958 save percentage for the week. He also extended his home winning streak to 11 games, not losing at Memorial Coliseum since December 9th. The 29-year-old Solsgirth, Manitoba native is leading all IHL goalies in save percentage (.925), goals against average (2.09) and wins (24). Other goaltenders nominated for the IHL Goaltender of the Week include: Bloomington's Sebastian Dahm, Dayton Derek MacIntyre, Flint's Rob Nolan, Muskegon's Matt Lundin, Port Huron's Adam Russo and Quad City's Jerad Kaufmann.
