Generals on the air once again with WFNT-AM 1470

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce an agreement has been reached with Regent Communications to the Flint Generals home away from home for the 2004-2005 season. WFNT will air the Generals' two exhibition home games, all regular season road games and all games in the Colonial Cup Playoffs. This is the fourth consecutive season the Generals have been carried by WFNT-AM 1470. WFNT will also carry "Generally Speaking" on Monday nights beginning October 11, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

"We are very happy to have this agreement with WFNT," said Vice President & Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "We appreciate the efforts of Program Director, Dan Foley and his staff, along with everyone at Regent Communications for having us back on their airwaves. It will be an exciting season for all of us."

The Flint Generals have three exhibition home games on the schedule beginning Thursday, October 7, 2004 against Port Huron at 7:05 p.m. On Friday, October 8, 2004 the Generals host the Junior Generals at 7:35 p.m. with proceeds to support local youth hockey. The final exhibition game is Saturday, October 9, 2004 against Port Huron at 7:35 p.m.

The regular season home opener is Friday, October 15, 2004 versus the Muskegon Fury at 7:35 p.m. Season tickets are still on sale at TicketMaster at Perani Arena by calling (810) 744-0580. For more details, contact the Flint Generals at (810) 742-9422.
