Opponent SP: RHP Tony Santillan (2-5, 4.85 ERA)

LAST GAME: Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, saw too many fireworks from their opponent on Thursday, losing a 5-2 contest to the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field. With the series-opening defeat, the Generals (45-40) fell to 12-23 this year when their opponent hits a home run. Chattanooga (44-40) now leads the season series, 6-5. Full Recap: JacksonGeneralsBaseball.com

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: Right-hander Bo Takahashi last pitched last Friday against Mississippi, throwing six innings while giving up two earned runs; the downside was that the Generals were no-hit by Ian Anderson and Jeremy Walker in a 2-0 defeat. He will face Tony Santillan, who returns from the disabled list after battling a right shoulder injury for the past week. Santillan's previous start was a rough one - he gave up 7 earned runs while recording only eight outs against Tennessee.

SCORING DROUGHT: Over the last three games, Jackson has scored just seven runs, and they have scored three or fewer runs in eight of their fifteen games in the Second Half. The Generals are 1-7 in those contests.

ALL-STAR ALUMNUS: Former Generals infielder Ketel Marte won a three-way voting race in late June over Ozzie Albies and Mike Moustakas to earn the starting nod at second base for the National League in the 2019 MLB All-Star Game. The D-backs' switch-hitter is the first former Jackson position player to earn an MLB ASG bid since Seattle third baseman Kyle Seager in 2014, and he joins former Mariners closer Edwin Diaz as the second ex-General in as many seasons to gain All-Star status. Marte is batting .312 through his first 84 games with 20 homers & 53 RBI.
