Generals Face Icehawks In Exhibition Game Tonight

FLINT, MI - After a week of facing fellow training camp hopefuls in practices and in the scrimmage, the Flint Generals will go head-to-head tonight with their I-69 rivals the Port Huron Ice hawks at McMorran Place Arena at 7:30 pm. It's the first of back-to-back exhibition games between the two teams who will turn around and play again at Perani Arena and Event Center on Saturday night.

Several returning players will make their appearance tonight including Kris Mallette, Jared Dumba and Martin Ondrej. The line-up will include several young players including Justin Styffe who notched a couple of goals last night and Bill Horton, who' dad stared with the Generals in the early years.

There is no radio for tonight's broadcast but there will be updates on the website throughout the game as well as live scoring on www.pointstreak.com.

Don't forget that tickets are available Saturday's game in Flint at 7:30 pm. All seats are just $5 and this is an excellent way to get a sneak peak at those players vying for spots on the team.

2008-09 Season Tickets and Flex Passes are currently on sale too, allowing fans some terrific benefits. Season Tickets give fans the same seat for all 38 home games, while Flex Passes allow you to get 12 tickets for the price of 10. The flex tickets can be used all at once or one at a time.

The Flint Generals home opener is set for Thursday, Oct. 22 when they host the Port Huron Ice hawks at 7 pm. Come out and see the Generals in their new jerseys and cheer on the team in another exciting year of professional hockey.
