Jackson Generals News Release

MOBILE, ALA (AUGUST 5, 2013) - The scheduled game Monday night at 7:05 p.m. between the Jackson Generals and Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium has been postponed due to heavy rains and thunderstorms. The game will be made up as part of a Tuesday doubleheader featuring two seven-inning games, with the first game set to begin 5:05 p.m.

The Generals will now play three doubleheaders over the next five days as there are doubleheaders scheduled in Mississippi on Thursday and Saturday. Those doubleheaders are to make up games that were postponed during the Braves last visit to Jackson. The Generals do have a return trip to Mobile scheduled for August 18-22.

Jackson has been rained out 15 times this season and had two games suspended because of rain. The Generals are 7-9 in doubleheader (seven-inning) games this season.

The Generals will send LHP Anthony Vasquez to the mound in game one and RHP Trevor Miller to the hill in game two. The BayBears will start RHP Bo Schultz in game one and RHP Bradin Hagens in game two. Both games on Tuesday can be heard on 96.5 ESPN Radio, jacksongeneralsbaseball.com and TuneIn Radio.
