
Gems Finish Season With 12-3 Loss To Corvallis At Kiger

Klamath Falls, OR: August 11th, The Gems finished out the 2013 season with a series ending loss at the hands of the Corvallis Knights, 12-3 on Sunday afternoon at Kiger Stadium. With the loss the Gems end their season with 25 wins and 28 losses, just one win short of their best record, which was set back in 2012.
Nick Sabo (Long Beach State) took the loss and fell to 6-3 on the year in his 12th start of the season. Stephen Nogosek (Woodcreek High School) won his second straight game for Corvallis, who won the South Division with a 37-17 overall record. Dylan Rogers (Oregon Tech) knocked in two runs with a two out double to pace the Gems offense.
The Klamath Falls Gems are members of the West Coast League, the Diamond Standard among summer collegiate baseball. The eleven team, professional style wood-bat league features pro prospects from major conferences across the country. More than 120 WCL alums played affiliated professional baseball last season, and 20 ex-WCL stars played in the Major Leagues last season.
