
Gems Fall 2-1 On 9th Inning Walk Off Single By Cowlitz

Longview, WA - A two out single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Cowlitz Black Bears a 2-1 victory over Klamath Falls in the first of a three game series on Tuesday night at Story Field in Longview, WA. Cole Trezek (Loyola Marymount) knocked in the only run for the Gems who were held to three hits on the night.
Henry Omana (Cal State Fullerton) pitched five no hit innings in relief and improved to 2-2 with the win for Cowlitz. Jack Karraker (Fresno City College) fell to 2-3 with the loss, as he came on in relief for Nick Sabo (Long Beach State) who went seven strong innings for the Gems. The Gems are 25-24 overall with the loss and remain in fourth place in the South Division.
