Gelinas Captures Weekly Award

WICHITA, KS- Wichita Thunder goaltender Marc-Antoine Gelinas has been named the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week for March 7th-13th.

The rookie netminder went 3-0-0 last week with wins against Tulsa, Mississippi, and Quad City. During the stretch, Gelinas posted a 1.63 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.

A native of St. Etienne de Lauzon, Quebec, Gelinas has put together a terrific rookie campaign. Gelinas is second overall in the league with 25 wins, and tied for second with four shutouts. The 22-year old Gelinas has proven durable as well, ranking fourth with 2400:40 minutes played. The four shutouts are a Thunder single-season record.

For his accomplishments, Gelinas will receive a gift, courtesy of Oakley.
