Wichita's Marc-Antoine Gelinas Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

TEMPE, AZ (March 15, 2011) - The Central Hockey League announced today that Wichita's Marc-Antoine Gelinas has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending March 13, 2011.

The rookie goaltender won all three of his starts last week allowing just five goals in 184:17. The St. Etienne Lauzon, Quebec native turned aside 79 of 84 shots for a .940 save percentage. Gelinas made 25 saves in a 3-2 overtime win at Tulsa on Tuesday, stopped 26 shots in a 5-2 win over Mississippi on Friday and then made 28 saves in a 4-1 win over Quad City on Sunday.

On the season, the 6-0, 185-pound netminder is second in the league with 25 wins, while carrying a 2.85 GAA and a .899 save percentage.
