Gearlds to Miss Four to Six Weeks with Torn Ligament

SEATTLE, August 5, 2009 - Seattle Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Brian Agler announced today that forward Katie Gearlds will miss four to six weeks of play after sustaining a torn posterior cruciate ligament in her left knee. The injury occurred during the first quarter of Tuesday evening's Storm game against the Phoenix Mercury.

The Storm traveled to Los Angeles this afternoon and will face the Sparks in their final matchup of the 2009 season tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at the STAPLES Center. Fans can listen to the game on KKNW 1150 AM or watch the game live at stormbasketball.com via LiveAccess.
