JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Stone Garrett's go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning on Saturday lifted the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to a 5-2 victory over the Mississippi Braves from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. A crowd of 6,815 enjoyed Lunch Bag Giveaway presented by Baptist Health & Wolfson Children's Hospital, Baptist Health Heroes Night presented by Baptist Jacksonville and Florida Blue Night and Family Faith Night presented by The Promise FM 100.7 & FM 94.1.

In a 2-2 game in the eighth inning, Mississippi (56-61, 23-25) reliever Jordan Harrison (2-3) hit Joe Dunand and walked Brian Miller with two outs. Garrett then bashed a home run to put Jacksonville (57-61, 28-20) ahead 5-2.

Lewin Diaz crushed a bomb with one out in the fourth inning to put the Jumbo Shrimp in front 1-0.

Jumbo Shrimp starter Sixto Sanchez scattered four hits and one walk. He struck out four and stretched his scoreless innings streak to 24 frames. He has a 0.72 ERA in his last six starts.

With the score still 1-0, Justin Twine led off the sixth with a base hit. After a strikeout, Dunand did the same to put runners on first and second. After another strikeout, Garrett doubled in Twine to make it 2-0.

William Contreras and Connor Lien jumpstarted the seventh with singles for the M-Braves. Two batters later, Alejandro Salazar laced a two-run base hit to even the tally at two.

Vincenzo Aiello (1-1) earned the win with three strikeouts in a scoreless eighth inning. Tommy Eveld fanned the side in the ninth for his sixth save.

Saturday's winning raffle number of 1577644027 won a prize of $201.

Jacksonville wraps up their series with Mississippi at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday. LHP Trevor Rogers (0-1, 3.86 ERA) makes his home debut for the Jumbo Shrimp. Coverage begins at 2:50 p.m. on MiLB.tv, Sunny 102.3 FM, TuneIn and jaxshrimp.com.

Join Wolfson Children's Hospital as they salute the heroes of the healthcare field with a special night at the Baseball Grounds. Fans can meet their favorite heroes, provided by WasabiCon, in person. On a Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday, families are welcome to play catch on the field before the game, plus Jumbo Shrimp players will be signing autographs. Each Sunday also features free face painting, balloon animals and popular kids show and movie characters roaming the park. Following the game, kids 12 and under can run the bases. In addition, every Sunday, 24 oz. Corona cans will be available for $5.
