Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation

Key 1: Depth Scoring

- A big reason why the Stars have scored five-or-more goals four times over their last six games is because of their depth scoring. Reese Shaw's first USHL goal last night gave the Stars the lead for good in the third period and Jacob Rombach's first in the USHL ended up being the game-winner. Over these last six games seven different Stars have recorded their first USHL goals and Lincoln has not coincidentally gone 4-2 in that stretch.

Key 2: Multiple Points From B-Mo

- With his empty net goal and assist on Jack Pechar's goal last night Blake Montgomery has continued the trend of recording multi-point games in each game that he has lit the lamp. Montgomery has five multi-point games with four of them coming since Nov. 24. He has 11 points (5+6) over his last seven games and has recorded at least one point in five of those games.

Key 3: Win The Series

- Stars head coach Rocky Russo has likened this weekend tripleheader to a playoff series and mentioned that the Stars needed to treat last night's game like an elimination game. With the Stars victory, it guarantees that only one team will be finish tonight's game with four points over the weekend. Fatigue figures to be a factor but this is a good first test for the Stars because it is their first of four weekend tripleheaders with two more coming over the next five weekends.
