GAMEDAY PREVIEW PRESENTED BY CULLIGAN WATER
LINCOLN (10-19-2)
A banged-up Stars roster has dropped five straight games, but they showed great fight against the Western Conference-leading Fargo Force on Sunday afternoon. Lincoln fell 5-3 against the Force, but received goals from Charles-Alexis Legault (his first USHL tally), Nikolai Mayorov and Jack O'Leary. Trevor Mitchell is expected to make his Lincoln Stars debut tonight. The 17-year-old defenseman had been dealing with a lower-body injury since being acquired from the Des Moines Buccaneers on February 23rd. The Stars are playing their fourth game in five days.
OMAHA (19-15)
The Lancers' three-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday thanks to an 8-1 defeat by the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday night. Jakub Dobes is projected to start for Omaha after allowing four goals on ten shots on Saturday before Reilly Herbst entered in relief. Ayrton Martino scored the lone goal for the Lancers in the loss. The Lancers have won three of four meetings against Lincoln so far this season.
THINGS TO WATCH FOR
Dominic James has three assists against the Lancers this season ... Lincoln will look to be better on the penalty kill after allowing three goals on the man-advantage Sunday against Fargo ... Clay Hanus has four points in his last five games ... Mayorov has recorded multi-point outings in two consecutive games ... Martino leads the Lancers with eight points against the Stars this season.
