GAMEDAY PREVIEW PRESENTED BY CULLIGAN WATER
LINCOLN (13-24-3)
The Stars are set to hit the ice seven days after their dramatic overtime 5-4 win against the Lancers at Ralston Arena. Cross Hanas scored a power-play goal with under a minute to go in the extra frame, giving Lincoln its second win over Omaha this season. Lincoln has points in three straight home games (2-0-1), which marks the longest point streak at the Ice Box in 2020-21. They've scored 19 goals over the three-game stretch, but fell 4-3 in overtime last Friday against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Aidan McCarthy made 36 saves in the loss while Dominic James led the way up front with two assists.
OMAHA (24-18-2)
Omaha is well-rested after a recent cancellation that wiped out their Friday night matchup with the Tri-City Storm. The Lancer last played on Sunday afternoon against Sioux Falls, pummeling the Stampede 7-3. Ayrton Martino scored a goal and added three assists while Kyle Bettens lit the lamp twice. Jakub Dobes stopped 14 out of 17 shots for his 20th win of the season. Omaha is 3-1 in their last four road games, including a 3-1 victory at the Ice Box on March 6th. This will be the last time the Lancers come to Lincoln in the 2020-21 season.
