VS LETHBRIDGE: This is first of eight meetings between the Tigers and the Hurricanes. The last time these two met, the Tigers came away with a 6-2 win. Over the last five seasons the Tigers hold the edge in the series with a record of 13-9-0-0. The Tigers powerplay is 15/59 (25.4%) on the season, while the penalty kill is at 80.6%. The Hurricanes so far this season are 15/72 (20.8%) on the man advantage, while killing off 76.7% of opponents PP chances.

Corson Hopwo had a goal and 2 assists which brings him into a tie with Bogdans Hodass for the 2nd most points on the team.

MILESTONES: Lukas Svejkovsky recently played his 150th career WHL game. The Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick has 108 points (47G, 61A) and is only 3 goals shy of his 50th career goal. Corson Hopwo is closing in on his 100th career WHL point. The forward from Duncan, BC has caught fire of late, scoring in 6 of his last 9 appearances.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Ashton Ferster has found the back of the net in three straight games and now has four goals on the campaign. The 18-year-old from Shellbrook, Sk is now fourth on the team in scoring. Ferster is an imposing presence in opposition creases standing 6'4". He has great instincts around the net and brings a physical style of play to the ice.
