Hawks Fight Hunger

Tonight is Hawks Fight Hunger night, presented by Fred Meyer, and we need your help to provide 3,000 meals to local folks in need! Keep an eye out on the concourse and on the jumbotron for QR codes to scan and donate directly to Oregon Food Bank. We provided nearly 2,000 meals in the 2019-20 season - help us raise the bar tonight!

Hanas Hits 150

It's another milestone moment for one Winterhawk as Cross Hanas is slated to skate in his 150th WHL game tonight. The 2020 second-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings leads the team with four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 16 games this year, and boasts 36 goals and 55 assists for 91 points in his WHL career. Congrats on your success thus far, Cross!

Dante Domination

Dante Giannuzzi put in a strong, steady night between the pipes against Everett on Tuesday, turning aside 38 of 41 total shots including a number of high-danger chances. It was a good showing after the team's season-long six-game road trip, and the 19-year-old netminder enters tonight's tilt with plenty of confidence.

Of course, it is the front end of a back-to-back with Kelowna, and Head Coach Mike Johnston may elect to save Giannuzzi for tomorrow's tilt and ride with the more-than-capable Lochlan Gordon in the crease. Either way, the Hawks know they will have a confident presence in net tonight and they need to be considering they are going up against a Rockets team that's ranked third in the WHL in scoring, averaging nearly four goals per game.
