GAME NOTES PDF
Lincoln Stars (27-19-5) | 5th - Western Conference
After splitting last weekend against Team USA (U-18), the Stars are six points shy of a playoff spot with nine games remaining and three against teams in playoff position. Lincoln has won three of its last five games and has gone 3-2-0 on its nine-game home stand. The Stars bring the seventh-best power play into this weekend after going 3/6 last Saturday and snapping a 0/13 skid. Lincoln went 8/10 on the penalty kill last weekend, looking to improve from 15th in the league.
Bloomington Thunder (21-23-7) | 6th - Eastern Conference
Despite sitting 14 points behind a playoff spot, the Thunder has points in four of its last five games. Bloomington lost in overtime and a shootout to the Muskegon Lumberjacks last weekend before beating Team USA (U-17), 4-1, on Sunday. The Thunder moved top-ranked defenseman Ben Mirageas at the deadline, acquiring forwards Walker Duehr, Christiano Versich and goalie Logan Halladay to compensate and add experience to the lineup. Bloomington's offense has been its biggest problem as the team has the second-worst power play in the league and has scored the third-fewest goals.
BLM: Wyatt Kalynuk - The Wisconsin commit played 55 games for the Stars during the 2014-2015 season. He is fifth among USHL defensemen with 30 points in 51 games.
LIN: Brandon Schultz - The Northeastern commit has two goals and five assists in his last five games. He leads the team with 39 points.
Roster Report - Mike Gillespie has been listed as injured since Feb. 19.
