
Affiliate Joey Cipollone Expected to Make USHL Debut

Kearney, Neb. - Tri-City Storm affiliate forward Joey Cipollone has been added to the active roster and is expected to make his USHL debut Friday against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. Affiliate Ryan Roth has also been placed on the active roster. Roth, 16, has two assists in his first three USHL games.
Cipollone completed his second season with The Loomis Chaffee School (Connecticut) in February, accruing 16 goals and 32 points in 23 games. The 17-year-old was the team captain. In the fall, Cipollone played for the Yale Midget Hockey and scored 16 goals and 32 points in 28 games.
Committed to Vermont, Cipollone will become the second member of his immediate family to play for the Storm. First cousin Joe Cipollone (born 1997) won the Clark Cup with Tri-City in 2015-16. The families are next-door neighbors in Purchase, New York.
Last season, Cipollone led Loomis Chaffee with 17 goals and 39 points in 29 games. Tri-City selected Cipollone in the 3rd round, 46th overall, of the 2015 Phase I Draft.
The native of Purchase, New York will wear #23 this weekend. Cipollone stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds.
Roth, committed to St. Lawrence, is back for his third weekend with the team. In 61 games with Honeybaked U16, Roth has a team-high 91 points. He will wear #15.

The Storm hosts the Muskegon Lumberjacks Friday, March 17 for St. Patrick's Day, featuring $1 Coors Lights, green beer, a koozie giveaway to the first 2,000 fans and a $5 Kids Friday at the Viaero Center. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against Muskegon is Sammy's Superheroes Night, presented by First National Bank, to help raise money for pediatric cancer awareness and research.
Tri-City will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, and give away capes to the first 1,000 kids. Storm players will "buddy up" with children affected by cancer before the game and give the kids a game day experience. Fans that purchase tickets online or through the Viaero Center Box Office using the code "SUPERHEROES" will donate $5 from their $14 ticket to Sammy's Superheroes Foundation.
