
Game Suspended Due to Fog

Green Bay, Wis. - It's opening week in the Northwoods League, presented by Edvest and the game has officially postponed due to fog and darkness. We were in the bottom of the 5th, the Bullfrogs were down 1-2 to the Lakeshore Chinooks when the umpires made the 1st fog delay call.
Clayton Uselman got the start for the Bullfrogs, he went three and a third before being replaced by Connor Jackson. Uselman gave up two runs, one coming off a double from Matt Johnson. Jackson came in with a runner at third, he got Kevin Riley to ground out but Alec Olund scored for the Chinooks, giving them a two run lead.
Offensively, the Bullfrogs scored their first run in the top of the fifth. Marcus Shoemaker scored off a ground out by Laren Eustace. The Chinooks starter Zach Spears have struck out nine Bullfrogs in five innings of work. The game was called as Connor Jackson returned for his second inning of work.
The players returned to the field in the bottom of the 5th. Peter Castillo came into pitch for the Bullfrogs, he threw a scoreless frame. As we headed into the top of the 6th, the fog rolled back into Kapco Park. The umpires called for another fog delay. The second fog delay ran into the city ordinance in Mequon, lights were turned off. The game was called to due to fog and darkness, game will be postponed and played at future date.
The Bullfrogs will be back at home tomorrow night against the Lakeshore Chinooks. First pitch is at 4:05pm from Joannes Stadium.
