Game Rained Out, Sprint Breast Cancer Awareness Day Rescheduled

COMSTOCK PARK - The West Michigan Whitecaps game against the Lansing Lugnuts scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a double header on Friday, May 16. The first of two seven-inning games will begin at 6:35 p.m.

Sunday was also slated to be Sprint Breast Cancer Awareness Day. That event, which features the Whitecaps wearing pink uniform tops and a number fund-raising activities for the Susan G. Komen Foundation has been rescheduled for Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 when the Whitecaps host the Dayton Dragons at 2 p.m.

Tickets to Sunday's game can be redeemed for any remaining Whitecaps home game this season, subject to availability.

On Monday, West Michigan will open a four game series in Fort Wayne. RHP Lauren Gagnier (1-3, 6.52) will be on the mound for the 'Caps against Wizards RHP Jeremy McBryde (0-3, 1 save, 6.00). First pitch is slated for 6:00 p.m. The Davenport University Career Startup Show will begin at 5:55 p.m. on 1340 AM WBBL, the Whitecaps Radio Network and at wbbl.com.
