Matchup:
The Solar Bears look to rebound after falling 6-3 to the Everblades last night. Florida opened up the scoring just over five minutes into the game, but F Thomas Beauregard evened it up with a power play goal at 12:31. Florida scored twice in quick succession at the end of the opening frame, and added a fourth goal less than two minutes into the second stanza to open up a 4-1 lead. F Ian Watters brought the Solar Bears back to within two at 11:41 of the period, but that was as close as Orlando would get. Everblades F Corey Trivino pushed the lead to 5-2 at the end of the second period, and the two sides traded goals in the third for the final 6-3 score.
Solar Bears Notes:
The power play was a source of strength for the Solar Bears, as two of their three goals came via the man-advantage... F Brad Townsend was issued a five-minute fighting major when he dropped the gloves with C Trevor Bruess... G Brooks Ostergard entered the game 1:19 into the third period and stopped 12 of the 13 shots he faced.
