Last time they met: The Blades held on long enough thanks to Nolan Maier's heroics, despite being outshot 34-15 in Prince Albert, to best the Raiders 3-2 through goals to Riley McKay & Colton Dach last night.
What it means for the Blades: A win over their arch rivals at home is never a bad thing.
The stat: 4-1-0-0 - the Blades' current record against Prince Albert this season, including three wins in PA.
The match-up: Eric Florchuk vs. Aliaksei Protas - the two Washington Capitals' prospect centres saw a lot of each other during their team's most recent match-up, in particular at the face-off dot, where Florchuk won 13 attempts while Protas won six. Florchuk, a versatile utility who plays an excellent two-way game for the Blades, will be key once again in suppressing the Raider's brilliant Belarusian forward Protas, who has managed five points (3G-2A) in four games against Saskatoon this season.
It's a big night for: Riley McKay - After being de-crowned as the leading goal scorer (by Wouters) prior to the Christmas break, McKay returned to action in Prince Albert in a big way with two goals, including the game winner. McKay has now surpassed his career-high in goal scoring and is just one point away from tying his career best for points in a season. He has cemented himself as an important figure in the team's lineup, combining his leadership with consistent contributions on the scorer's sheet.
