New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (5-3-6, 21 pts.) are set to host Nashville SC (4-5-4, 16 pts.) for the first-ever meeting with the MLS expansion side on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC Sports Boston, with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies calling the action. The contest will also air on 98.5 The Sports Hub, with Portuguese commentary available on WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA.

The Revolution enter Saturday's match on the cusp of three straight wins for the first time this season. New England brings a 5-7-5 all-time record against MLS expansion sides to the first of two games against Nashville this season. The Revolution registered their fifth win of the season - also the team's fifth shutout - last Sunday night in a 2-0 victory on the road at D.C. United behind goals from forwards Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa. Bou, who has worn the captain's armband 10 times this season, has generated two goals and one assist over the last two matches as he continues to power the attack as the team leader in goals scored (5). Bou's three game-winning goals are one behind the league lead. Forward Cristian Penilla provided a spark off the bench in Sunday's win, notching his second multi-assist game with a pair of primary helpers to raise his team-high assists total to four.

Hosting a Nashville side that has scored only two goals in seven away games (0.29 per game) during its inaugural MLS campaign, New England will look to maintain its solid defensive form having allowed only one goal over the last three games. The Revs ranks fourth in MLS in goals conceded (12) and clean sheets, while goalkeeper Matt Turner continues to rank among the league's top five in saves percentage and goals against average.
