In their last matchup, the Iowa Barnstormers fell to the Cleveland Gladiators in Week 10. The Barnstormers ended the first with a last-minute touchdown and 20-7 lead. In the second, the Barnstormer's defense gained another interception and an early touchdown, advancing their lead to a 21-point deficit. Each team put another score on the board, ending the first half 34-33, Gladiators. Cleveland continued to increase the gap leading into the half with two touchdowns. Iowa remained scoreless in the third, making the score 50-33. The Barnstormers struck quick in the fourth, however the Gladiators answered back with another touchdown. With one minute left in the game, Barnstormer's Julian Williams made an explosive touchdown, but it was not enough for a victory. The Gladiators ran away with a 63-46 victory, continuing an undefeated season.

The New Orleans VooDoo jumped to a 2-6 season record with a big win against the San Antonio Talons last Saturday night. New Orleans played consistent throughout the game and came away with a strong win, despite losing to the Talons earlier in the season. This was their first victory against the San Antonio Talons in franchise history.

During the last matchup between the Iowa Barnstormers and New Orleans Voodoo, Iowa came out with a monstrous 62-16 win. Both offense and defense proved to be strong forces through the entirety of the game. Within moments of the start of the first quarter, QB J.J Raterink connected with TE Mike Garrity for a 15-yard touchdown. When the VooDoo gained control of the ball, Iowa's defense shut down offensive opportunity by grabbing a fumble recovery, leading to a Barnstormer's touchdown. The momentum stayed with the Barnstormers throughout the game as they took every advantage to increase their lead.
