Iowa Barnstormers News Release

The Iowa Barnstormers are heading back on the road for a second straight game.

Ahead of Iowa's three-game homestand, the Barnstormers are coming off of a bye week to take on a Frisco (5-1) team that lost its first game of the season on Saturday.

The team hopes to continue Frisco's losing streak and ride into the home stretch late in the season with a victory to try and garner some momentum as the 2021 IFL Playoffs approach.

Iowa quarterback and defending league MVP Daquan Neal will continue to be instrumental in the team's success. He's currently second in the league in both passing and rushing yards per game.

Running back Elad Covaliu enters the matchup with the highest mark in yards per game for a true running back, averaging 42.2 on the ground.

On the receiving end, Covaliu's 20 receptions put him at the top for receptions on the season by a player at his position as well.

Only wide receivers Connor Hollenbeck and Carrington Thompson corral more yards per game.

The Iowa defense will look to bounce back against a powerful Frisco offense on Friday night, when the two teams battle in the lone star state.

Frisco has played six games on the year, each of them coming down to one-possession results. Iowa will look to keep things close and finish out the game to get the win.

The Iowa Barnstormers will be hosting a watch party at The Chicken Coop in Ankeny, located at 1325 SW Oralabor Rd Ste 212.

Tickets for the Iowa Barnstormers are available now! For more more information about ticket options, please call the Barnstormers at 515-633-2255 or visit www.theiowabarnstormers.com.
