Oshawa Generals News Release
Tonight, the Oshawa Generals return home to take on the Peterborough Petes at the Tribute Communities Centre. The Gens head into the game with a record of 5-4-1-0 after two back-to-back road wins against the Petes on Thursday and the London Knights on Friday. The team will look to close out their weekend with a big win over the rival Petes in front of the hometown crowd.
Today's game will be the third time the Gens face off against the Petes this season. The first time the two teams met, Oshawa came up just short in a close 2-1 contest. The second game that took place this past Thursday in Peterborough saw the Gens pick up a big 4-1 win. The victory showed strong performances from Eric Henderson, who tallied a goal and 2 assists, as well as Jack Studnicka who potted a goal and added an assist. The Gens will look to continue on their winning ways and grab two points against their division rivals tonight.
Heading into the game, Eric Henderson holds the point lead on the Gens with 7 goals and 6 assists for 13 points in 10 games. Coming off a 3-point night against the Petes on Thursday and notching 2 points against the Knights on Friday, keep an eye on Henderson as he looks to continue his hot streak tonight. Jack Studnicka has also been on a tear as of late, with a three-game point streak and 2 goals in his last 2 games. The captain will look to add to his offensive production tonight and help push Oshawa to a win. Two Gens in Dylan Robinson and Danyk Drouin also both potted their first career OHL goals in this week's road trip. The two will look to build off their milestones and continue to add to their total.
Come join us at the Tribute Communities Centre for tonight's game at 6:05pm and cheer on the Gens as they take on the Petes! The team will then head to Hamilton on Friday to take on the Bulldogs before returning to Oshawa to play back-to-back home games against the Kitchener Rangers and Kingston Frontenacs.
